The Role Of Improvement

Most of us might have heard - "Change is the only constant", but most of us find it difficult to bring out. There are many books, motivational quotes, philosophies and a lot more that guide people through the process of working upon it and bringing out a newer version, yet 90% of us do not make it at the highest level .To be Precise its not just the will power or consistency which lacks but also the intent and inner call for the change within us that gets left behind over the period of time.
There are many so called excuses which we give to ourselves despite we knowing the bitter truth and from this begins the destruction of self driven motivation and dedication. As we grow older the quest of finding the purpose of life begins and that's exactly when people feel lost. Exploration and Experimentation are two methodological ways in getting closer to it. But as someone rightly said, "Nothing in this world comes with an ease" , these prospects too extract and also expect some qualities within us and one such prime quality is - Improvisation
Improvisation in simple words is to improve and no matter how good you are at something there is always a scope left to improve. One needs to figure out what has to be learnt or adapted to be able to change for good. In this process of finding, learning and trying there can be many failures or dissatisfactions coming up but always remember that there was a purpose that urged you to improve. And the day you do it successfully would be the day you can witness the change you bought within you.
There are various ways to bring some change we desire within our selves. Few of the common ones are as below:
1. Modifying Routine: Add certain things in your routine which dedicates fixed amount of time to your goals and other minor goals that leads up to the ultimate desire.
For Example: If one has decided to work upon their fitness and diet then they need to fix a routine that contains exercise time, eating fruits or taking juices (goal) and also one has to allocate some time to watch fitness related videos or reading some relevant articles whenever possible ( minor goal aiding towards major goal).
2. Consistency: Now, to be honest most of us do have good planning skills but where we lack the most is in consistency. So, now that the routine is ready we got to track our routine as well. Tracking helps us to maintain consistency. One way is to openly letting people know about it or marking it somewhere daily.
For Example: Updating daily progress of fitness or your diet chart on social media platforms like Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram etc. or having a paper glued to wall and on it mark a straight line each day you followed your routine and try to make a longest straight line as much as possible.
3. Develop a new hobby: Hobbies are important factor for developing a positive frame of mind. So start a new hobby that may or may not be aligned towards your goal but by doing so you give yourself a space wherein you invest your time in all those that keep you in good mindset.
For Example: Starting reading books, learning to play musical instruments, playing games, watching shows or TVs, writing, gardening or just simply having a walk etc.
4. Remind yourself: Human mind has many powers one such is subconscious power. So, remind yourself why you started and what all you did to improve on that particular day. This helps you to be active and closer to your goals every time you feel like giving up.
For Example: Remind yourself the day you felt the need to be fit and all that you did so far to follow the diet you planned to have.
Remember that there is no fixed pattern to be successful in accomplishing all that we thought to. But it's the thousands of tried and tested methods that help you to explore the potential within you and bring the innovation within you. Progression is based on attempts and efforts that are put for it so try to keep improving yourself as you may never know what may come up at you at any given point of time. Always try to challenge yourself and don't get satisfied until you feel that you have reached the pinnacle of your potential. You need to hold on to your core values and add some good practices to them. Improvement within you can simply brighten up your life and impart the confidence that you can become better and better everyday and finally the best someday.
